Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an evidence-based, trauma-focused therapy designed to bring relief from painful emotional and physical symptoms caused by trauma and other distressing life experiences. Unlike traditional talk therapies, ART is an innovative, solution-focused approach that helps you process and resolve trauma.

ART combines elements of several therapeutic techniques, including guided imagery and eye movements, to help you reframe and reprocess negative memories without needing to relive them in detail. This process allows your brain to reduce the intensity of traumatic memories and replace them with more positive, adaptive images.

How can ART help with Trauma symptoms?

Trauma can leave lasting imprints on your mind and body, often manifesting as anxiety, depression, flashbacks, nightmares, and even physical pain. ART targets the core memories and emotions linked to these symptoms, allowing you to:

  • Reduce emotional distress: ART helps you detach from the overwhelming emotions tied to traumatic memories, so they no longer feel triggering.

  • Resolve stuck patterns: Repeated negative thoughts or behaviors can be addressed and reframed to create healthier patterns.

  • Restore inner peace: You’ll replace distressing images with positive or neutral ones, reducing the emotional weight of past events.

  • Work at your pace: ART is designed to be gentle and client-centered, allowing you to feel safe and in control throughout the process.

Please note, that I work from a triphasic trauma treatment approach, which includes assessing an individual’s readiness for ART. If you are interested in ART please feel free to reach out for a free 15-minute consultation call or to book an initial appointment to determine if ART is the appropriate modality for your healing journey at this time.
